No Homework Policy at Sprague
We would like to take a moment to share with you the rationale behind our school's no-homework policy for young learners. We firmly believe that children, especially at the early stages of their education, thrive best when they are given time to engage in activities outside the classroom that foster creativity, curiosity, and social skills.
Research has shown that young children benefit more from unstructured play, physical activities, and family time than additional academic tasks at home. These experiences promote emotional well-being, build strong relationships, and help to develop a love for learning. By not assigning homework, we encourage our students to develop a sense of balance and time management without the stress and pressure that often comes with traditional homework assignments.
