Preschoolers Study Life Cycle of a Pumpkin
Posted 10/27/2018 06:36AM

Sprague preschoolers enjoyed the fall season by studying the attributes of a large pumpkin that visited their class shortly before Halloween.

Students in Mrs. Seung Jin Yeo's morning class inspected the pumpkin's skin while describing what it looked like. They counted how tall the pumpkin was coming in at 26 inches tall and discovered it probably weighed more than they did at just over 50 pounds.

The pumpkin is making its way around the school courtesy of teacher Jacqueline Niziolek. "I brought the pumpkin in to help brainstorm descriptive words and for teachers to share the pumpkin life cycle with students," she said.
