Mrs. Ann Hofmeier
Welcome to Sprague School! As Principal, I am honored to be part of a school and district that values academic excellence, meeting individual student needs, social responsibility, global preparedness, continuous improvement, long term perspective and partnership among all stakeholders. Educating young learners is my passion, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn and grow with your child! Ann grew up in Schaumburg where she went to elementary, middle, and high school. She attended college in Chicago, where she met her future husband Karl. The two were married and moved to Lake County, where they began their family. Ann and Karl have a daughter who is in 8th grade named Anja and three dogs, Big Boy, Olive, and Bella. They also have a bird Snowflake. Ann enjoys spending time with her family where they can be found hiking, boating, swimming, going to zoos and museums. Ann is active in her community and volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Lake County. She also loves to read! Ann enjoys traveling. One of her favorite trips was visiting China with the College Board of Education where she toured schools and met with school leaders for mutual collaboration and learning.
Mrs. Hofmeier comes to us from Kildeer Countryside School District 96 where she has served as the Assistant Director of Educational Services for the past four years. Mrs. Hofmeier has over twelve years experience as an administrator, including principal, assistant principal, coach and district office experience, as well as an eight-year teaching background in elementary education. Meet the Assistant Principal
Jennifer Arroyo, Assistant Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to say that I am very excited to join the Sprague School community. I am very excited to continue my role as Assistant Principal as I join the Sprague Team.
As your newly appointed Assistant Principal, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to be able to assist Mrs. Hofmeier in making this one of the best school years ever! I am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff at Sprague to provide the best possible educational program for our students. I look forward to partnering with you to provide our students with a rigorous and engaging school experience. I believe that by working together, we can listen, learn, and lead together.
Please feel free to stop in and say hello, as my door is always open. I look forward to meeting all of the students, as well as their parents during the course of the school year.

Currently, Jennifer resides in the Wauconda area with her husband, Pete. They have three kids - Addison, 8 years old; Alyssa, 5 years old; and Peter Jacob, 4 months old.
Jennifer has been in the field of education for 13 years. She began her career at Hawthorn School District #73 in Vernon Hills where she spent nine years teaching first, second, and third grades. From there, she moved to Murphy Elementary School in Round Lake, where she served as the Assistant Principal for the last four years.
