Snack Stand Builds Skills and Community

Snack Stand Builds Skills and Community

Students in Sprague’s guided classroom run the Snack Stand each day as seen in these photos, unpacking chips, granola bars, and soda for teachers to purchase. One such student, Cody, with help from second-graders Camden Adloff and Lana Surowka, hands out snacks and practices interacting with staff.

“The Snack Stand helps improve social skills, builds money and counting skills, and teaches students how to identify foods,” said Kristen Craig, Learning Behavior Specialist Teacher.

By working together, students gain independence, practice teamwork, and connect with the school community. The Snack Stand is more than a place to buy snacks—it’s a place where learning and friendships grow.
