The Wild World of Animals

Sprague first-graders recently completed an exciting writing and science unit focused on animals. Each student chose an animal to research using non-fiction books and digital tools, learning facts about habitats, behaviors, and more. After gathering their information, students created their own non-fiction books to showcase what they had learned, as seen in these photos.

Aakavi Senthil, who researched squirrels, shared, “There are flying squirrels. And, one squirrel can have eight pups at a time.”
